Dr. Myroslav TrofymukCEO, founderBorn in Lviv. Designer, director, musician, researcher, founder of ZEMLA STUDIO. Master of classical philology and digital marketing, PhD in the history of Ukrainian literature. Member of the National Union of Journalists of Ukraine. Between 2009 and 2012 regularly visited the University of Warsaw on research grants, and used those visits to research the grassroots movement in Poland and Ukraine independently. As a journalist, in 2012 he founded the news portal PUP ZEMLI, covering niche cultural events, and wrote about Ukrainian contemporary music for Polish and Ukrainian media. In 2015 he organised the First International Forum of Independent Initiatives in Lviv, which brought together key figures of the Warsaw, Kyiv, Ternopil, Luhansk, Dnipro and Lviv experimental music scenes. In 2016—2018, on Gaude Polonia research grants and at AirWro workshops, he continued that research through interviews with independent publishers, culture managers and founders of independent businesses. In 2020—2021 he shot two documentaries: PORTRETACIYA, about the painter Borys Firtsak, and HABITAT, about Vasyl Deresh, the first researcher of the Stilsko hill fort. Since 2022 he has authored the CENTRUM MUNDI audio show for Polish Radio for Ukraine, continuing the same research into the contemporary music scene in Ukraine and Poland. The ХАТНЄГРАННЯ improvisation sessions he curated ran in Lviv between 2013 and 2018; the final 99th session was released on the Polish independent label Audiomat.
Anna StyopinaCreative directorStudied at Yuriy Fedkovych Chernivtsi National University, where she later worked as a faculty member. In 2008 she began designing souvenir products. Shortly afterwards she joined the Ukrainian-German Cultural Center Gedankendach as a designer, a collaboration that continues to this day. Since 2011 she has been part of the creative team behind the international poetry festival and publishing house Meridian Czernowitz. In 2012 she expanded her practice into advertising and commercial design. In 2015 she co-founded the design studio Cukor. Since 2017 she has worked as a concept developer for the restaurant and hospitality industry, and since 2014 she has also been a designer for Vydavnytstvo 21 (Publishing House 21).
Andriian VeremiienkoVideo production managerA videographer, editor and musician based in Lviv. Working across commercial, documentary and artistic productions, he approaches filmmaking with a strong focus on visual storytelling, rhythm, composition and atmosphere. As a musician he is a member of the experimental collective HOMEPLAYING (ХАТНЄГРАННЯ), where he has contributed as a guitarist while also exploring synthesizers and electronic instruments in live performances, improvisational sessions and studio recordings. His creative interests span experimental electronic music, ambient, free improvisation and audiovisual art. Through both his video work and his musical practice he explores the relationship between moving image and sound, treating film as a unified medium where editing, music and visual composition build one narrative.
Taras ShpotAudiovisual developmentA senior software engineer, musician and music production enthusiast based in Lviv. For more than a decade he has combined a professional career in software engineering with a deep interest in experimental electronic music, exploring the intersection of technology, algorithms and sound. As a musician he is a member of the Lviv-based experimental collective HOMEPLAYING (ХАТНЄГРАННЯ), which operates at the crossroads of electronic music, improvisation, field recordings and multimedia art. He contributes to live audiovisual performances, studio recordings and interdisciplinary projects that merge electronic sound with acoustic instruments, poetry and urban soundscapes. His work can be heard on releases such as City Parts. Lviv, Polylogues and other HOMEPLAYING projects.
Yurii BulkaComposer, web developmentA composer, music programmer and sound artist based in Lviv. His work explores the intersection of contemporary composition, creative coding and electronic music, combining algorithmic thinking with experimental approaches to sound and musical form. His practice spans generative composition, live electronics, sound synthesis and interdisciplinary performance, creating works that bridge acoustic and digital environments. Drawing equally on contemporary classical music and experimental electronic traditions, he develops sonic experiences that emphasise texture, process and improvisation. Beyond composition he has a long-standing interest in netlabels, open-source software and free culture, and contributes to Wikipedia and the Wikimedia community on projects concerned with preserving and disseminating cultural heritage. Alongside his artistic practice, Yurii currently serves in the Armed Forces of Ukraine.
